The
control room is built into a custom Chevrolet van outfitted with roof air and
electric heat for all weather operation. Custom cable reels enable rapid
deployment of 300' of audio multicore and multiple video feeds.
The
Yamaha 02R v.2 console fits perfectly into the rear of the van with ample space
left for the engineer and an assistant/observer. JBL LSR28P monitors flank the
video monitor. All equipment is anchored in
removable racks for situations requiring indoor setup.
Four Tascam DTRS MDM machines
function as backup to the Apple G4 HD recording system. Sixteen additional MDM tracks are available for studio tracking sessions for a
total of 48 tracks. Installed mic preamps are from Benchmark Media with
additional units available from Langevin, dbx, Peavey and Symetrix.
