SkylabWinter.jpg (59369 bytes)The control room is built into a custom Chevrolet van outfitted with roof air and electric heat for all weather operation. Custom cable reels enable rapid deployment of 300' of audio multicore and multiple video feeds. 


 

 

 

SkylabInterior1.jpg (83300 bytes)The Yamaha 02R v.2 console fits perfectly into the rear of the van with ample space left for the engineer and an assistant/observer. JBL LSR28P monitors flank the video monitor. All equipment is anchored in removable racks for situations requiring indoor setup. 


 

 

 

 

SkylabInterior2.jpg (87935 bytes)Four Tascam DTRS MDM machines function as backup to the Apple G4 HD recording system. Sixteen additional MDM tracks are available for studio tracking sessions for a total of 48 tracks. Installed mic preamps are from Benchmark Media with additional units available from Langevin, dbx, Peavey and Symetrix.
